Equine Ultrasound

The application of ultrasonography in limb evaluations will be demonstrated to the equine practitioner. Recent advances in ultrasonography will be discussed in relation to diagnosis of tendon and ligament injuries. A variety of equipment will be used during the laboratory sessions to visualize the limb anatomy of the horse. Ultrasound case studies will be presented in group discussions. The course focus will be at an intermediate introductory level and mostly discuss the tendons and ligaments of metacarpus to pastern.
