Neurosurgery step 1
In Copenhagen (Denmark) on 13 and 14 October 2011 a challenging workshop will be held with lectures and wetlabs for specialists and specialist-in-training / residents (surgery and neurology). The course is organized by Björn Meij (DVM, PhD, Dipl. ECVS) and Niklas Bergknut (DVM, PhD, Resident in neurology/neurosurgery).

TPLO wet lab, October 20-21, supported by Synthes and Chair by Mike Kowaleski. The most complete TPLO Course with practical exercise on cadavers, following the same program of the original Slocum’s Course, updated with all the most recent studies.
SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM
The Congress will be held at the BOLOGNA FIERE CONGRESS CENTRE, with the Pre-Congress wetlabs being held at the Veterinary School of the University of Bologna, located some 12 km from the centre of the city.
The Wetlabs will include small and large animal topics, ranging from a stem cell & PRP workshop to locking plate wetlabs. Subjects for the Pre-Congress seminars include arthroscopy, osteoarthritis and sports medicine.
Principles of Small Animal Fracture Management*
This course will provide veterinarians with the scientific principles of fracture repair and their practical application to the clinical
situation in lectures and laboratory sessions.
Masters Course on Advanced Osteotomy — Small Animal*
Seminars in this course focus on various osteotomy techniques that are performed in small animal surgical practice.
Participants must have previously taken the Principles Course.
Equine Basic Principles of Fracture Management†
This course will bring together the latest information and technique innovations on the internal fixation of equine fractures.
Principles of Small Animal Fracture Management††
